Friday January 19, 2007 - Auckland
Last weekend I moved into my new apartment in Devonport. It's a beautiful area, right at the waters edge just a 15 minute ferry ride from downtown with plenty of local shops and restaurants. My apartment faces the ocean and is just across the street from the beach.

All of this came to me by a divine stroke of luck, thanks to Greg! He put me in contact with his realtor back in early December, and she had the perfect apartment for me. Greg took a look at it, gave his thumbs up, and then put down a deposit for me on loan until I was here in person.

It was great staying with Greg and Karyn for a couple of weeks, and of course they were wonderful hosts. I had a deluxe setup there. But I am happy to have my own place again, and I'm hoping to extend my stay until June or so. Even SpongeBob likes it here... he's having a blast. Once I have some time to relax and get settled in, I'll start thinking about exploring more of Auckland and New Zealand.
